A board for the long table — the one that comes out when the meal intends to be remembered.
Five woods cross its face in wide, deliberate stripes: pale maple, ember-red padauk, deep walnut, sapele with its quiet shimmer, and wenge so dark it reads as shadow. JJ joined and planed them by hand, then fed the surface with food-safe mineral oil and the studio's own Mountain Butter. It will take the knife, the bread, and the years, and improve under all three. Built to outlast the table it serves — and possibly the kitchen.
