The oak brings its silvered ray fleck; the maple keeps the peace between. Laura turned the stack round and finished it with friction polish and wax, leaving the joints as visible as they deserve to be.
Cairns exist to say *someone came this way on purpose.* So does this. Stacked stone lasts centuries; stacked oak intends to.
