A quiet pen with two makers in it.
JJ laminated the birch plywood — thin, even strata, ruled like the pages of an old account book — and Laura turned it, capping the fine stripes with solid walnut. The two woods meet without ceremony: pale lines below, dark grain above, gold hardware between.
It is the studio's working partnership, held in the hand. Two makers, one pen; the ledger balances.
