A piece of the forest floor, promoted.
A real pinecone — its scales sectioned and set — is cast in blue sparkle epoxy, so the cone's woody rosettes float in a night-sky field. Laura cast the blank herself, then turned it and polished the resin to depth. Where the lathe cut through the cone, it revealed patterns no one had ever seen, because they had never been open to light before.
Pinecones are built to wait years for their moment. This one's arrived.
One made. No second.

About JMMS
JM Mountain Studio is a small workshop in southern Colorado where reclaimed wood, mountain air, and quiet craftsmanship come together.
-
Quality and Care
Nothing here is rushed or mass-produced. Every mark, tone, and edge carries a human touch and the story of the material itself.
-
Inspiration
Each piece — from hand-carved mountain scenes to turned vessels and boards — is made to last and meant to be lived with.
