Old Growth — Curly Koa Pen
Old Growth — Curly Koa Pen

The pen you reach for when the document deserves some ceremony.
Curly koa — the Hawaiian acacia that luthiers and canoe-builders have prized for generations — ripples beneath the surface, shifting from gold to bronze as the pen turns in your hand. Laura shaped it on her lathe and raised the figure with friction polish and carnauba wax, the way koa asks to be finished: patiently.
The shimmer is in the wood itself, not on it, and it deepens with handling. It will outlast the signature.
One was made. It is this one.

About JMMS
JM Mountain Studio is a small workshop in southern Colorado where reclaimed wood, mountain air, and quiet craftsmanship come together.
-
Quality and Care
Nothing here is rushed or mass-produced. Every mark, tone, and edge carries a human touch and the story of the material itself.
-
Inspiration
Each piece — from hand-carved mountain scenes to turned vessels and boards — is made to last and meant to be lived with.
