Made of popsicle sticks. Really.

Laura dyed them — green, blue, and cream — laminated them into a blank, and turned the stack into a pen with clean, bright stripes and a straight face. The gloss finish seals the colors; the gold hardware dresses them up.

Somewhere between the craft table and the lathe, the material got serious. The craft table finally graduated.
